Here is Siqi ZHU.
I graduated with a BA in Journalism. And I have started the Media, Communication, and Critical and Practice course at LCC.
My past study courses developed my academic foundation for communication and media studies.
They have also given me a multicultural perspective to a critique of the Chinese social environment and the current state of culture.
My theoretical knowledge is also used in practice. My three internships in the media industry have given me practical experience in brand management, and advertising creativity.
I am not only concerned with one social indicator in the cultural industry, but I aim to convey the dilemmas of reality.
During my undergraduate studies, I have become aware of the age of analog and our entire society is enveloped by the messages conveyed by the media.
I have been trying to resist the ideological control of the media and learning to analyze social phenomena from a critical school of thought. This sense of independence that has grown out of the ‘struggle’ has made me stronger.
This is a real opportunity for me to study at LCC, and explore more media events. And how to use media productions as narratives to achieve real positive social change.
